 NOMINATIONS

I am elated to share that four of my poems were submitted for jury consideration for a Rhysling Award in the long form category, and all four have made it to the long list! I don’t know who nominated these pieces, but my deepest thanks to them, and to the jury for this tremendous honor. Links to the lit mags they appeared in are below.

Congratulations and best of luck to my fellow nominees! See the full list of Rhysling Award nominees here.

Two of the poems, “Below the Bible Belt” and “The Two of Coins” are in Midnight Glossolalia, the collection I co-authored with Scott Ferry and Lillian Necakov, which is available from Amazon and Meat for Tea Press

FORTHCOMING

My latest poetry collection, Ain't These Sorrows Sweet?, will be released by Roadside Press.

Synopsis: This collection of poems is very personal and intimate, yet firmly grounded in the real world. They cover such topics as Latine culture, family, feminism, home, memory, health, food, and cats. Overall, this book is a celebration of life in both grief and joy.

My collection of short horror stories, Screaming Intensifies, will be released by Whiskey City Press.

Synopsis: Fifteen tales that include murderous mermaids, sin eaters, horse-headed ladies, and other strange and fantastic things.
